Governor Andy Beshear announced this death, along with 10 others, during his weather update Wednesday. During that update, Beshear also shared each family of the 11 will receive $10,000 from the state to help cover funeral expenses for their loved ones in such a troubling time. “First thing we do in Kentucky is grieve together, and we don’t want these families to have to wait for reimbursement by FEMA. Members of the Kentucky National Guard have been mobilized to Allen County, one of the hardest-hit areas in the state, to help as well.
