During a visit to Duluth to brief local union members on a labor contract bill, Representative Pete Stauber (R MN-8) also drew a large crowd of protestors. Meeting at with the Teamsters at their Local 346 Labor Hall in Duluth, Stauber detailed the bill, aimed at speeding up new labor contracts. The bill has bipartisan support, with over a dozen lawmakers on each side of the aisle as co-sponsors. The Teamsters, along United Mine Workers of America are among the many labor unions who’ve endorsed the bill. During the meeting, to which WDIO was invited to by the Teamsters, union leadership noted they were glad to work with any politician that supported pro-labor policies.
