Grant McCallum Congratulates Kauri Museum On Winning Museum Of The YearNorthland MP Grant McCallum is congratulating Matakohe’s Kauri Museum after it was named Museum of the Year at the 2026 New Zealand Prestige Awards.
Mr McCallum said the recognition is a significant achievement for one of Northland’s most important cultural institutions.
“The Kauri Museum has long played a leading role in telling the story of our region and its connection to the kauri tree.
McCallum noted that the museum’s success reflects the commitment of its staff, volunteers and local supporters.
