Every comedian knows the feeling of having relatives attempt to pitch sketch, stand-up or series ideas that are completely unusable. “I would always say, ‘Mom, why don’t you save that for the Patti Forte sketch show? Now, 16 years after he left SNL, Forte is finally ready to help his mom get her own series off the ground. “Just this last August, September, we made six episodes with my mom and her 82-year-old friend Carol, all writing their own comedy and acting in those sketches,” Forte said about the long-overdue Patti Forte Sketch Show. In his post-apocalyptic comedy series The Last Man on Earth, Forte recruited Patti to play his character's mom in two episodes.
