The Cleveland Monsters scored three unanswered goals to a snap a tie Wednesday and registered more than twice as many shots as Grand Rapids in defeating the Griffins 4-1 at Van Andel Arena. Grand Rapids suffered consecutive regulation losses for the first time this season and fell to 32-5-2-1 (W-L-OTL-SOL). Eduards Tralmaks scored his 16th goal at 18:30 of the first period to tie it at 1-1. The Monsters (20-14-5-1) outshot the Griffins 43-20. Grand Rapids hosts the Chicago Wolves on Friday (7 p.m.).
