STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Local students who are studying social work are eligible for the The Staten Island Foundation’s Elizabeth Dubovsky Fellowship for the 2026-2027 season. The professional learning opportunity celebrates the legacy of Betsy Dubovsky, the foundation’s first executive director, whose roots in social work inspired her passion for community service. Fellows must be residents of Staten Island, but don’t have to attend a local school. If a student has a home address on Staten Island but dorms at a school off Staten Island, as long as they commit to serving the internship at a non-profit on Staten Island, they would qualify.
