U.S. stock futures are in the red on Wednesday evening after the Federal Reserve decided to leave interest rates unchanged during its January FOMC meeting.
The tech earnings cycle was off to a mixed start, led by Microsoft Corp. (NASDAQ:MSFT) and Meta Platforms Inc. (NASDAQ:META) .
The S&P 500 Futures are down 0.26%, or 18 points, trading at 6,989.00, followed by Nasdaq Futures at 26,098.50, down 0.22%, or 55.75 points and finally Dow Futures, trading at 49,025.00, down 142 points, or 0.29%, on late Wednesday evening.
Crude oil prices are inching up, with WTI March futures trading at $63.57 a barrel, up 0.52%, with the commodity rallying 7.26% so far this week.
This comes despite the Federal Reserve’s decision to keep interest rates unchanged during the FOMC meeting on Wednesday.
