FARGO — The company that owns the Twin Peaks restaurant brand has voluntarily begun Chapter 11 proceedings in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Texas, a step the company says will not result in the closing of any of its restaurant brands, including Twin Peaks, which has a location in Fargo.
The Twin Peaks sports bar and restaurant at 1515 42nd St. S., in Fargo, is one of about 115 Twin Peaks branded restaurants in the U.S. and Mexico.
When it opened here in 2021, the "sports lodge" chain was already familiar to many North Dakota State University football fans who gathered at Twin Peaks while in Frisco, Texas, for the national championship game.
ADVERTISEMENTThe Fargo Twin Peaks, which replaced a Shotgun Sally’s restaurant, is an autonomous operation, according to Sam Barnett, chief operating officer and co-owner of Seven Valleys Management, the local franchisee that operates the Fargo Twin Peaks.
"It (Chapter 11) helps alleviate their debt and has nothing to do with us, other than we're under the umbrella of FAT Brands," Barnett added.
