Australia’s sovereign wealth fund owns more than $100 million worth of shares in Palantir, a controversial tech company that’s powering the Trump administration’s anti-immigration efforts, disclosures have revealed.
This eight-figure — and growing — investment in a company that’s under the spotlight for its work for US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is further evidence of Palantir’s growing ties with Australian governments and business.
Even prior to its work with ICE, the US-based tech company had been criticised for its reported supply of AI tools used by the Israeli army in its war on Gaza.
