Hong Kong stocks reverse losses on commodity, property sector gains

Hong Kong stocks extended gains for a seventh day on Thursday, supported by resource and property firms, with analysts maintaining an earnings-driven “slow bull” outlook for the market.
The Hang Seng Index rose 0.5 per cent to 27,975.81 at the noon trading break, after losing as much as 0.8 per cent.
On the mainland, both the CSI 300 Index and the Shanghai Composite Index lost 0.1 per cent.
Longfor Group Holding advanced 5.6 per cent to HK$10.42, peer China Overseas Land & Investment added 4.3 per cent to HK$10.38 and China Resources Land jumped 3.9 per cent to HK$30.96.
Electric-vehicle maker BYD lost 1.3 per cent to HK$101.50 and peer Li Auto lost 1.9 per cent to HK$67.20.
