A bald eagle was rescued from Pier Park in North Portland late last fall. She was brought to Dove Lewis and then the Bird Alliance of Oregon’s Wildlife Care Center for immediate care. It is believed the bird got into an altercation over territory with another bald eagle, resulting in injury. The center nursed the eagle back to health over the course of two months. On Tuesday, Jan. 27, the public was invited to watch the full circle moment as the bald eagle was released back into the wild at Pier Park.
