Firefighters in Los Angeles are battling a massive fire in a structure after a series of propane tanks exploded in the South El Monte neighborhood Wednesday afternoon, officials say. Crews were dispatched to the 2215 block of North Tyler Avenue at around 2:32 p.m., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. The incident was classified as a "titanium fire" due to the explosion of the propane tanks. Authorities said they found a body inside the apartment building. According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, the case is now being handled as a death investigation.
