‌The national weather service has cautioned that low pressure systems are likely to continuously deliver substantial downpours and fierce winds during February. Low pressure positioned south of Ireland could maintain rainy and gusty conditions throughout the week spanning February 9 to 15. Met Éireann stated: "While confidence in week 2 is lower, there is a signal for unsettled conditions to continue with low pressure centred to the south of Ireland. ‌Come mid-February, low pressure systems are predicted to persist as the prevailing pattern, maintaining disturbed weather across much of the nation. Temperatures are signalling average temperatures for the time of year."
