The rainfall warning, impacting Dublin Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, Wicklow, and Waterford, will see already saturated ground hit by more rain. ‌One forecaster warned that this may lead to a flood risk, as some heavy showers are on the way. River flooding in particular is a risk - "prepare for the worst and hope for the best." ‌He said that normally, that level of rainfall wouldn't cause too many issues, but due to recent high levels of rain, river flooding may be a problem. So unfortunately more river flooding is going to happen."
