Good Samaritans have restrained a driver who allegedly tried to run from a smashed-up car after it crashed into several others on a busy Melbourne road. A silver Toyota Camry was seen driving erratically in Pascoe Vale before it collided with multiple cars on Sydney Road in Coburg around 12.30pm, police said. An eyewitness told 3AW the car was allegedly travelling on the wrong side of the road towards Bell Street before it side-swept "five or six cars". (Nine)Police said the alleged offender tried to flee the scene on foot after dumping his damaged car on Sydney Road. The man was given medical treatment at the scene before he was seen being loaded into a divvy van.
