HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) – The University of Southern Indiana women’s basketball team suffered their first loss in over two weeks last Friday to Western Illinois tying the two teams for first place in the Ohio Valley Conference standings. Screaming Eagles head coach Rick Stein said he wouldn’t use the fact that the team played back to back days as an excuse for the loss since Western was doing the same thing after playing Morehead State on the road the day prior. “You know it’s one of those that man I told our team if you’re going to win in this conference tournament you got to make it there first. But you know regardless you’re going to have to play back-to-back to win. And if you’re a lower seed you’re going to have to do that three, four times back-to-back-to-back.
