Miami Gardens Police arrested professional boxer and Baltimore native Gervonta “Tank” Davis on Wednesday night on charges of battery, false imprisonment and attempted kidnapping, department officials said. In a statement on their social media, the department said Davis, 31, was taken into custody without incident by the Miami Gardens Special Investigations Section and the U.S. AdvertisementAdvertisement Advertisement“The Miami Gardens Police Department remains committed to protecting victims, holding offenders accountable, and ensuring the safety of our community,” the department said in their statement. The arrest came about two weeks after a warrant was issued in connection with an incident reported Oct. 27, 2025, at a Miami Gardens business. According to police, a woman reported that Davis attacked her around 4 a.m. at the nightclub where she works.
