And in Minnesota, the state’s gun owners caucus argues the response of federal officials to the fatal shooting does not align with the facts on the ground. Other gun rights groups have also pushed back on comments from federal officials about the shooting. Gun Owners of America likewise said, peaceful, armed protests are protected by the First and Second Amendments and that the government must not infringe on those rights.
