Truckies lose use of Newell Hwy rest area until mid-April

Image: Google MapsEssential road work now underway on the Newell Highway at Grong Grong, NSW, means truckies will be prevented from pulling into the Henwood Rest Area for next few months. Work is being carried out Mondays to Saturdays between 7am and 6pm. TfNSW said truckies will instead have to stop at Firetail Rest Area or Narrandera truck parking bay. Traffic control and reduced speed limits of 40km/h will be in place for the duration of the project to guide road users through the work zone.
