RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– RCSD says Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center guard has been arrested in connection with the assault of an inmate. Cohanskie Goodson, 30, was arrested after deputies say he was using excessive force on an inmate at Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center. It was reported to deputies that a corrections officer within the jail used a knee strike to an inmate’s face, causing a laceration above his eye and rendering him unconscious. The corrections officer did not render aid or immediately seek medication attention for the inmate, according to Richland Co. Sheriff’s Dept. Investigators identified the corrections officer as Goodson.
