MITCHELL — A structure built over property lines with a potential city liability hasn’t been resolved. If auctioned, the Fredericksens would then have the opportunity to bid for the property, as would any other Mitchell resident. The matter of the property line will be brought before the council for consideration at the council’s request. The city has a liability with the pool being on city property, according to council member Mike Bathke, who was the only council member to vote against the variance permit. The red box shows the location of a future addition, which required a city variance permit, and the property to the south shows a pool across the city of Mitchell property line.
