Sam Stout scored 19 points and Ayden Janovich made two free throws with seven seconds remaining to give McGuffey a 48-46 win at Freedom in a non-section boys basketball game Wednesday night. Freedom had a chance to win but McGuffey blocked a three-point attempt as time expired. McGuffey led 25-19 at halftime and 38-30 at the end of three quarters. Kolt McGovern scored 14 points to help the McGuffey cause. Sutton Williams led Trinity (6-4, 13-5) with 14 points and Gabby Humphreys netted 12.
