Spread the wordAnambra state governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, Wednesday, threatened to demolish, acquire and reallocate properties of traders that would fail to open for businesses on Mondays due to purported sit-at-home. According to him, this became necessary following their findings that sponsors of sit-at-home and enforcers were not indigenes and settlers but those deliberately planning to cripple the state economy targeting markets at Onitsha, Ogbaru and Nnewi. The governor further alleged that insecurity was no longer the reason behind the sit-at-home because, “Markets were opened all through the days of the week in Christmas and new year. Also, all the street traders are seeing on Mondays. People engage on walkouts on Mondays, play football and other activities.”
