Spread the wordA Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos has sentenced one security guard, Emmanuel Buchi, to life imprisonment for raping a 37-year-old married nurse at a school clinic in Lagos. Justice Rahman Oshodi convicted Buchi after finding him guilty of rape and assault. The prosecution told the court that the offence occurred on November 27, 2021, at Green Springs School, Awoyaya, Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos. Buchi abandoned his duty post that night, entered the school clinic where he had no authorisation to be. Consequently, the court sentenced Buchi to life imprisonment for rape and three years imprisonment for assault occasioning harm, ordering that the sentences run concurrently.
