Singer and lead guitarist Mathew Cartlidge and his sister and bassist Issey brought a shock and awe hour of frenzied punk rock and roll to The Brook in Portswood as part of Independent Venue Week. Independent Venue Week is an annual tribute to grassroot music and arts venues and the people and touring bands that make them thrive. Other events this week in Southampton include Liverpool’s Spinn; known for their clean jangly guitars, at Heartbreakers. Independent Venue Week runs until Sunday February 1.
