Kenneth Ray Hawley, age 86, passed away peacefully in his home in Lansing, Kansas, on January 23, 2026, following an extended illness. Kenneth was born on January 23, 1940, in Wilson, North Carolina, to Josiah Hawley and Viola Seawell Haigood. He was a graduate of Park University and proudly served his country in the United States Army for 20 years, from October 13, 1959, until his retirement on October 31, 1979. Following his military service, Kenneth continued his dedication to public service through a career in civil service, beginning on August 2, 1980, and retiring on October 2, 2000. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Josiah Hawley Jr., James Hawley, George Hawley, Wilber Hawley, Earl Hawley, Elton Hawley, Vance Hawley, and Bobby Hawley; and his sister, Virginia Lamm.
