The scariest thing is spending the evening in some homeless shelters, or out of them in this case. The scariest thing to me was how quickly I lost hope and how quickly I became invisible. I don't know if they were well intentioned or not, but it was terrifying. My experience is not the "regular" homeless experience as I quickly got the chance to live in a shelter for the homeless. Scariest thing was feeling like that was my peak in life.
