(KYMA) - The eight-time Super Bowl-winning Coach Bill Belichick is not a first-ballot Hall of Famer. During voting earlier this month, Belichick fell short of the 40 votes required for induction into Canton. The 73-year-old appeared in an NFL-record 12 Super Bowls and ranks second all-time in career wins with 333. Several sources indicate his role in the Patriots’ cheating scandals may have factored into the decision. It's a sure thing Belichick will eventually make the hall, but his time will have to wait until at least next year.
