Dewsbury Library Hub will open at its new location in the Walsh Building, next to the Town Hall, on February 16, 2026. The relocation from Railway Street is part of wider plans to reinvigorate the town centre under the Dewsbury Blueprint. Amanda Pinnock, cabinet member for environment and communities at Kirklees Council, said: "When the library hub moves into the town centre, you’ll find the same warm welcome as before. "The new hub will also include a community room for library groups and activities, and a children’s library with both indoor and outdoor spaces to explore," Ms Pinnock said. Full library services will remain available at Batley and Ravensthorpe library hubs during the temporary closure.
