Middle-aged adults are the glue and the gears of modern society. I think this certainly adds to the decline that we’re observing for middle-aged adults. It looks like middle-aged adults in the Nordic countries are doing the best. And those nations that invest the most in these areas show more positive outcomes for middle-aged adults. Also, many middle-aged adults, at least this generation, had kids later on.
