Lau said the residents of the longhouse have long faced a shortage of proper parking facilities. “Through the Bawang Assan Special Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) fund, arrangements were successfully made to construct a designated parking area for the longhouse,” he said. Lau explained that the lack of parking had resulted in traffic congestion and posed safety risks to both residents and road users. Following residents’ feedback, SRDC engineers, with assistance of Councillor Jeksen Chuban, conducted a site inspection to assess conditions on the ground and propose suitable improvement measures.
