(Image: Supplied)David McLean has been appointed as the new independent chair of the Financial Services Council, succeeding Rob Flannagan, who held the position for over a decade.McLean, who has a background in governance and the financial services sector, expressed his commitment to supporting outcomes that benefit both the industry and New Zealanders.He is currently the chair of the New Zealand Memorial Museum Trust and Kiwi Group Capital and has held various other roles.McLean retired as the chief executive of Westpac NZ in June 2021.
