Police in Vancouver are investigating after a 13-year-old allegedly attempted to steal a $1,200 jacket using a replica firearm from a downtown store on Tuesday.
The VPD says that the teenager had the weapon strapped to his leg.
Police say that before officers arrived, he was pinned down to the ground by security.
Officers took the suspect into custody and secured the replica firearm.
The teenager has since been released into the custody of a parent.
