White County Commissioners plan to redesign the David Culley Recreational Complex sign with an expanded budget and a Design Committee. County Executive Denny Wayne Robinson said funding for the sign had been cut in committee. “We had a very nice sign planned that would light up, you could put messages on it, a digital sign,” Robinson said. “It got axed in Committee.”Austin said the Committee was happy with the digital sign, though funds needed to be allocated elsewhere. Austin said TDOT would not let the Committee place the sign where they wanted to place it, limiting placement options.
