A house in Hove was damaged by fire in the early hours of this morning (Wednesday 28 January). The fire service said this morning: “At 4.47am, East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service were called to reports of a domestic dwelling fire in New Church Road, Hove. “Crews from Hove, Preston Circus, Roedean, Lewes and Newhaven are in attendance, along with a command unit from Bexhill. “Firefighters are wearing breathing apparatus and fighting the fire with hose-reel jets. “A reinspection is due to take place later this morning.”
