Jan. 28—The Austin Packers earned another hard-fought win when they finished on top of the Winona Winhawks (7-15) by a final score of 3-2 in Winona Tuesday. After a scoreless first period marked by strong defensive play on both sides, Austin broke through in the second. Sawyer Loucks, assisted by Lauren Bowe and Aubrey Green, ignited the Packers' offense scoring twice in the middle frame to give Austin a 2-0 lead heading into the third period. Winona would strike again, cutting the deficit to one. The Packers will host the Winhawks on Thursday at Riverside Arena for Pink Night at 7 p.m.
