Allen County now under a boil water advisoryShare This StoryemailPrintLinkedinRedditWhatsappSCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – Along with the power outages due to last weekend’s winter storm, citizens of Allen County are now under a boil water advisory. Due to an Allen County Water District pipe freezing and bursting, citizens are now under a boil water advisory. For the 900 people in western Allen County under the advisory, they must boil the water before drinking or using it to cook their food, and that is assuming those households have power. With both the outages and boil water advisory affecting Allen County, city officials are doing everything they can to help the community. “We’re doing everything we can to help alleviate some of that strain,” said Dennis Harper, Allen County judge executive.
