North Dakota Health and Human Services is seeking public comment on the five-year renewal of its Medicaid 1915(c) waiver that supports medically fragile children. The waiver allows Medicaid to cover specialized in-home and community-based services for children ages 3 through 21 who are medically fragile. State health officials say the waiver is critical for families whose children have complex medical needs that require ongoing support beyond standard Medicaid services. A draft of the proposed waiver renewal is available online at hhs.nd.gov/waivers.
