Veep pays working visit to Ministry of Lands

The Vice President, Prof. Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang, paid a working visit to the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources as part of efforts to enhance the accessibility of the Presidency to all.
In her remarks, the Vice President stated that the visit was one of numerous visits to various ministries, emphasizing that its purpose was to assess performance and foster coordination between her office and the ministry.
The Sector Minister, Mr Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah, briefed the Vice President on the Ministry’s mandate, the agencies under its purview, and the challenges he inherited as Minister.
Reviving VALCOIn addressing steps taken by the Ministry to tackle the inherited challenges, the Minister discussed plans to modernise and revive VALCO.
The Minister revealed that plans are underway to revive VALCO and ensure it provides maximum benefits to Ghanaians, reiterating VALCO’s potential as a pillar in driving Ghana’s industrialisation.
