MANCHESTER, Jamaica — Defending champions Manchester High were double winners in the Inter-secondary Schools Sports Association (ISSA) Rural Area boys’ basketball quarterfinals on Wednesday, beating Muschett High 111-6 in the Under-16 match-up and Knox College 91-23 in the Under -19. Oral Daley and Samuel Smith each got double-doubles in the Under-19 win where they limited Knox College to single digit scoring in all four quarters. Also on Wednesday, York Castle High beat Belair High 76-51 in their Under- 16 quarterfinal game with Marcodean Frater and Omar Campbell combining for 57 points. On Tuesday, Knox College had wins over Munro College and York Castle in their Under-16 and Under -19 games respectively. Earlier in the week, York Castle High beat Muschett High 81-23 in the Under-16 section and Old Harbour High beat Munro College 44-28; in the Under-19 section, Glenmuir High beat Garvey Maceo 58-27.
