St. Louis County is looking to add a social worker to their 911 dispatch center.
Through the last year, emergency telecommunicators in St. Louis County answered about 230,000 calls to 911.
And being able to provide that to them, regardless of the situation that they’re going through, is really, really important,” Cadigan shared.
To cut down on those, and really provide the help those people need, St. Louis County Sheriff Gordon Ramsay would like to embed a social worker in the dispatch center.
“Suicide is now the the number one reason for non-natural death in St. Louis County.
