WDIO News is celebrating its 60th anniversary this week by sharing memorable moments from Northland history found in its film archive.
Wednesday’s focus is on the 1980s, highlighting when Bob Dylan’s childhood home was put up for sale in October 1988.
The sale was advertised in Rolling Stone magazine, drawing significant attention.
“Bob lived here until 1959 when, like a Rolling Stone, he and his mother moved to Minneapolis leaving behind memories and a potential museum,” WDIO reported.
After several repairs and about a month after she went aground, the freighter left the Twin Ports for Italy carrying grain.
