Marvel Studios released its “Wonder Man” series in full on Disney+ yesterday, and so far, the response has been pretty positive – the series sits at around 91% with both critics and audiences on Rotten Tomatoes. However, things could’ve been very different. During a recent appearance at THR’s Heat Vision Live event series (via Laughing Place) at the DGA Theater Complex in Los Angeles, veteran TV writer Andrew Guest says the show might not have made it to screens at all. He indicates that there was serious consideration of scrapping the series as a tax write-off at one point, much like what happened to DC’s “Batgirl” at Warner Bros. Marvel has made no indication about whether they will proceed with a second season.
