The lead up to Broome’s biggest rainbow tropical event of the year, Broome Mardi Gras 2026, has begun, with the announcement of a chock-a-block program of entertainment. The festival is delivered by Broome Pride Inc. and will feature international artists, nationally recognised drag performers and strong local talent. Broome Pride co-chair and Roebuck Bay Hotel general manager Tamara Burchell said the festival was about more than entertainment. “Wet season is traditionally our quietest time, so creating an event of this scale has a real impact for Broome,” Ms Burchell said. “Local performers are the heart of this festival,” Ms Burchell said.
