Formed in Toronto in 1985, the band is made up of siblings Michael, Margo, and Peter Timmins, along with bassist Alan Anton. “I’ve known Alan longer than I’ve known Pete,” said Michael Timmins. “We were friends before Pete was born.”Cowboy Junkies rose to prominence in 1988 with The Trinity Session, a hauntingly quiet, reflective album that sold over a million copies.
