The signing ceremony took place on the sidelines of Wings India, Asia’s largest civil aviation exhibition, in Hyderabad. UAC, in turn, will assist HAL in organizing and re-equipping its production facilities for SJ-100 production through consulting, design services, and the involvement of specialists. After a three-decade-long successful partnership in combat aviation, HAL and UAC are now set to enter the civil aviation market. The SJ-100’s production in India is significant, as it is one of the world’s fastest-growing civil aviation markets. According to the International Air Transport Association (IATA), India is already the world’s third-largest civil aviation market, behind the US and China.
