— The Unaccompanied Students Initiative, a statewide nonprofit that provides shelters for homeless youth, recently announced that it will permanently close its Natrona County home on Feb. 6. The Unaccompanied Students Initiative has held a presence in Natrona County since 2020, when it established a home in Casper. Fogg stressed that just because Unaccompanied Students Initiative will no longer have a building in the county, that doesn’t mean it won’t be able to still help youth in the Casper area. Each of the nonprofit’s homes serves the entire state, meaning people from Natrona County will still be able to stay at one of the other locations. “We’re really grateful for the residents of Natrona County for supporting us over the years,” Fogg said.
