Phil Dunster (Ted Lasso, Rooster) has joined the cast of Universal Pictures’ live-action How to Train Your Dragon 2 as Eret, son of Eret.
Dunster joins Mason Thames, Nico Parker, Gerard Butler, Cate Blanchett, Ólafur Darri Ólafsson, Julian Dennison, Gabriel Howell, Bronwyn James and Harry Trevaldwyn in the sequel.
Blanchett, who voiced Hiccup’s mother Valka in the animated film, will reprise the role alongside Butler, who does the same as Hiccup’s father Stoic.
Universal’s live-action adaptation of How to Train Your Dragon soared to a global box office of $636.4 million last summer, delivering the franchise’s biggest box office performance.
