Floods Still Inundate 17 Neighborhood Units and Roads in Jakarta

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - As many as seventeen neighborhood units (RT) were flooded in Jakarta, Indonesia, on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at 7:00 a.m. Western Indonesian Time (WIB), after heavy rains inundated the Jakarta area and its surroundings since Wednesday, January 28, 2026.
In East Jakarta, inundation affected 14 neighborhood units (RTs) spread across Bidara Cina Village (4 RTs), Kampung Melayu Village (4 RTs), Cawang Village (5 RTs), and Cililitan Village (1 RT).
Meanwhile, in West Jakarta, flooding inundated 3 neighborhood units (RTs) in South Kedoya Village with water levels reaching approximately 30 centimeters.
Floodwaters in one neighborhood unit (RT) in Rawajati Village and three neighborhood units in East Pejaten Village have reportedly receded.
