Expo Chicago has revealed the full list of those taking part in this year’s edition, set to take place April 9–12 at the Navy Pier’s Festival Hall. This is the third Expo Chicago to be held under the auspices of international art fair company Frieze, which purchased Expo Chicago in July 2023, and the second presented in partnership with Galleries Association of Korea (Gaok). “As we build toward Expo Chicago 2026, our priority has been to refocus the fair on what has always defined it: rigorous curation, civic collaboration, and a deep commitment to artists,” said Sierzputowski in a statement. “Over the past year, we have shaped a fair environment that allows thoughtful, high-quality presentations to take form. Katie A. Pfohl, associate curator of contemporary art at the Detroit Institute of Arts, will organize the Focus section, to be titled “Gathering of Waters,” after the Mississippi River Basin, while independent curator Essence Harden will curate the Profile section.
